Alpine Summits The Jasper area is a great place for alpine climbing. The area has much to offer in some distinguishably different environments. The eastern slopes offer some excellent alpine rock climbs. The Ice fields offer some excellent snow and ice routes. A number of Alpine huts offer access to some great areas of climbing close to the Jasper area. Send me an email and tell me what you are interested in and I'll can plan the rest. We know the best peaks in the area suited to your level! |

Personal Guiding / Instruction This is suited for the individual wanting one-on-one instruction. For groups, special trips are routinely arranged. Small groups benefit greatly from individual guiding. Though the cost is more, this form of "hiring a professional guide" is recommended for people with specific dates or if you have an agenda of skill sets you want to work on. Rates: Basic Rate $400.00/day (Plus GST and expenses and if applicable) Services include: Rock Climbing & Mountaineering, Avalanche Awareness and Rescue, Mountain Rescue, Ice Climbing, Waterfall Ice Ski Mountaineering, Ski Touring. |

Guided Rock Climbs Numerous Rock climbing possibilities are available in the Jasper area. From short sport climbs, multi pitch cragging, to long alpine rock climbs. There is a great variety of routes on both limestone and quartzite. I can recommend a tailor made adventure or learning experience. Most equipment can be provided, some rented. Summer Mountaineering I specialize in mountaineering adventures, courses, and extended trips. I can provide most of the technical gear. The rest can be rented in Jasper at Gravity Gear. (780-852-3155) Check them out!, good guys, good prices. Call ahead to make your bookings. It is often difficult to find a guide in July or August unless you book early in the spring! |

Winter Mountaineering Winter Mountaineering is becoming a popular activity all over the Rockies. From easy scrambles, to longer trips with ski approaches. Most trips of this nature require skis for approach. Personal gear is the responsibility of the participant, but I can help in getting you the gear you will need. Equipment lists and planning details will be sent once you are confirmed. Both hut based trips and snow camping are possible.

Waterfall Climbing Introductory, Intermediate courses or
guided waterfall climbing is available on request.
I specialize in one day intro trips which are a lot of fun! We'll start
with some basic technique, then spend the afternoon in a "out
of the way" canyon. Some equipment may have to be rented depending
on group size.

Ski Touring Ski Touring is the way to explore the mountains in the winter. Numerous day tours and overnight tours are available. I can organize all the logistics, either hut to hut or camping. I offer day ski trips in and around the Jasper area. I will provide the basic safety gear (transceivers, shovels, probes) Skis can be rented in Jasper. |
