30+ years of experience in the Jasper area assures you of a quality mountain adventure

I am a fully certified mountain guide with 30 years of climbing and guiding experience throughout the mountains of Western Canada. My extensive knowledge and experience will make your trip one to remember !

Based in Jasper, I specialize in instructional courses and guided rock climbs. I can take you on any kind of guided trip in many areas of Alberta and British Columbia, or join me on a daily adventure trip for all skill levels. I have also planned some exciting upcoming summer mountaineering trips, and again am offering the very popular alpine rock course, a great two day adventure.

All of the guides that work with me are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). We specialize in the Jasper area where there is decades of local knowledge amongst us !

Background   Peter has worked as a Mountain Guide in many ranges throughout western Canada. He routinely works in many of the camps for the Alpine Club of Canada, including 22 years in the General Mountaineering camps. He also works with training the Canadian Military's Search and Rescue Technicians, and had worked as the Avalanche Forecaster at Marmot Basin for 18 years.

 

Peter has taught both Rock and Mountaineering courses for 25 years and has guided many private ski touring and climbing parties. Peter presently works as lead guide for Robson Helimagic,and as an Avalanche Technician/Forecaster for Chris Stethem and Associates Ltd.

In the winters Peter can be found either skiing, teaching, driving, analysing snowpacks or doing control work in the western mountains of Alberta and BC.

Peter's licensing allows guiding in most provincial and national parks in Alberta and British Columbia.

Peter is a fully certified Mountain Guide and member of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). He is also a member of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA), and a professional member of the Canadian Avalanche Association.
