He’s Changing Us

Scripture Reading: Acts 9:1-31

Key Scriptural Idea: Something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again.

This is one of the great change stories in the Bible. This is the story of a man who experienced a dramatic change and the impact this change had on other people, including a church community. But it is this change story because it is foremost the story of the God who brings change. Someone has said, “God can totally change us.”

Listening to the Scripture:

1. What kinds of change do you see in this story? What does this story say about Jesus and change? What impact on individuals and communities do these changes have?

2. How does this reading make you feel about change? In what way is this story like your story or the story of Community Baptist Church?
