Introduction
to Computers
![]() Learn the basics of maneuvering around the computer with Windows experience followed by Word training where participants will learn the basics of the program, including formatting text and documents. Dates: Wednesdays, January 18 - February 15, 2012 Times: 9:00 am - Noon Cost: $25 subsidized fee or $200 full fee /student To qualify for the subsidized fee you must be 55 plus or be a low-income earner.
Introduction to the Internet
This informative hands-on course will put the exciting world of the Internet at your fingertips. Learn how to browse the World Wide Web, use E-mail and the popular search engines. Dates: Wednesdays, February 29 - March 28, 2012 Times: 9:00 am - Noon Cost: $25 subsidized fee or $200 full fee /student To qualify for the subsidized fee you must be 55 plus or be a low-income earner. English Language Learners (Beginner & Intermediate) Courses
(formerly known as English As A Second Language (ESL)) Conversational English classes provide learners the chance to practice spoken English in everyday situations. The classes cover english language conversation, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary, in a learner friendly environment. Each session has 30 hours of instruction. Digital Camera Course If you have just purchased or received a digital camera as a gift, this workshop is for you. Get comfortable using your new camera while learning the basics. Students to bring camera and manual and bag lunch with them. Dates: Sunday January 29, 2012 Times: 9:00 am - 5:00pm Cost: $80.00 / student

A one day workshop to learn basic photo retouching and editing. Make the most of your photos! Date: Sunday February 5, 2012 Times: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Cost: $150/computer (two people must share same computer) Students to bring bag lunch for the day!
Fusion Gardening Workshop with Jim Hole In his presentation Jim Hole will show you how to become a fusion gardener. How to cultivate and enjoy your garden, lawns, shrubs and trees in a eco-friendly way. This presentation will blend practical advice with relevant humour. Suppertime Survival In our fast paced world, we all wish we had more time to cook and more time to get organized. This one evening workshop will give you practical suggestions on how to plan your meals, stock your pantry and cook easy nutritious meals that your family will love. These classes will start once we have a minimum of 8 participants! Cookbooks are available at the Bonnyville Community Learning Council Office!!
A weekly culinary exploration of world flavors. A weekly class with skilled instructors who know their way around a kitchen. This class will start once we have a minimum of 8 participants!
Firearms Possession & Acquisition License Course or Exam Challenge You will learn the laws and regulations pertaining to the possession, transfer, storage and safe use of firearms. Successful graduates will have passed a written and performance test. This is a requirement to get your license. This class will start once we have a minimum of 8 participants! Manuals available for purchase on location.
Boat Safety Course or Exam Challenge
Exams will be set up when sufficient numbers are registered!
St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid Course (Level A CPR)
Register through the not-for-profit organization you volunteer for and let us pay for the course. Not-for-profit organizations must submit a $25.00 deposit (refundable on course completion) for each volunteer they register. Others are welcome to take this course at the full fee of $115.00 This class will start once we have a minimum of 10 participants! .
