Email Support – Mac Mail

For incentre.net email accounts, you’ll need these settings:

  • account type – POP3
  • incoming mail server – pop.incentre.net
  • outgoing mail server – smtp.incentre.net
  • username – (your full email address)
  • incoming mail port – 110
  • outgoing mail port – 25

For email accounts using other domain names, like yourcompany.com or ccinet.ab.ca, the settings will vary depending on your domain.

NOTE – the info below uses yourcompany.com as an example domain.  Substitute your actual domain name (jetnet.ab.ca, business.ca, whatever it may be) wherever you see yourcompany.com below.

Troubleshooting
  1. Open Mail
  2. Click on Mail —> Preferences
  3. On the top of the Preferences window, click Accounts
  4. On the bottom left side of the window, click on the + button.
  5. Enter the relevant information (Full Name, Email Address, and password) then click Continue
  6. Set Account Type to POP.  Description can be set to anything…input something you’ll recognize in the future (ie. Incentre).  Enter your Incoming Mail Server, Username, and Password.  Click Continue.
  7. On the next screen click Continue and your account creation should be complete.
  8. You should be back on the Accounts window.  If you look on the left hand side of the window the account your created should be highlighted in blue.  On the bottom of the window there will be a dropdown menu next to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):.  Click on it and select Edit Server List…
  9. On the left side of the window click on the +
  10. Enter your smtp server name in the Server Name field.  Click OK.
