Animal Stories

Rescue Dog
I was consulted about a pet owner’s most heart wrenching decision. The vet wanted to put down a beloved dog, as he felt the dog had cancer. After communicating with the animal, I got a completely different picture. His owner took the transcript of the session to a specialist and after reading it, that vet looked at her for a minute, and then asked her different questions about her dog’s origin. This was a former rescue dog. The vet then came up with a completely different diagnosis - based on what the dog himself had to say!!

Dexter
Cindy called me when her dog, Dexter, was lost. Although it was difficult to do, after tuning in I had to tell Cindy I thought he had passed on. Here is her letter back to me.

Dear Deb,
Thank you so much for the consultation. I cried as I read it. You are right about so many things about Dexter. He was an older dog and was having some problems with his health. He couldn't see very well or hear very well. He had arthritis and seemed to wander round in circles.....searching......I think trying to find a way to go.

He was such a wonderful dog. I always told him he was perfect. We had such a good time together and he did love his walks. I think I'm becoming able to embrace the beautiful memories I have of Dexter. I have been lost in guilt, sadness, and longing for him. Because of your consultation and an insightful therapist I go to, I feel I am moving towards the light and a happier place. Dexter would want that. I could relate to so many things you said.

Thanks so much for helping me connect with Dexter in such a healing way. I'm truly grateful.

Lucky
Hi Deb! I just wanted to send you a note to let you know how much I appreciate all you’ve done for me and my cat, Lucky. He had been having some litter box issues in the past that were not getting resolved. I tell you it was like night and day with the change in behavior since you had a chat with him. He not only dismissed all his potty issues but has become a relaxed and loving cat.

If I were to say one thing to anyone even thinking about using animal communication I would tell them to open their mind and heart and give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. You have an amazing talent and the service you provide goes much deeper than a job I can tell you genuinely care about our furry friends. Life is so much better knowing that we can give back some of the love just by listening to what our animals have to say.

I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and let you know what a difference you have made in our family.

How could I not love this work?
These are the kinds of stories that make my heart full and bring so much meaning this work. I am grateful to the clients who are willing to share their experiences with us here. Here’s an interaction I had with an undomesticated animal during my training with Georgina Cyr.

Being a python

As we drifted into our meditative state I could tell that my particular ‘snake’, a python, had been waiting for me, and it wanted to give me the knowledge of being a snake.

He first suggested that I might want to experience the act of eating. As I become one with this python, I was aware of the physical sensations as it unhinged its jaw to swallow the prey whole. The feeling made my stomach roll and I felt nauseous. He first asked why I would feel so offended by this method of taking in nourishment, and then if I request permission and thank the providers of my sources of nourishment at every meal. I was humbled to admit that many times I have eaten without doing this. He told me that a snake ‘asks’ permission of its prey, and that the prey understands they are important in the cycle of life. Each food animal is thanked and revered for the offering of its life to sustain the snake’s life force. He asked if I had ever overindulged in eating. I had to be honest and admit I have, on many occasions. He explained they only eat when their bodies require nourishment, and never take more than they need at one time. Again – how humbling for me.

He then asked me if I’d like to share more of his world and we sped through the jungle undergrowth. His eyesight was far different then mine; I saw how things look at ground level, the intense colors and how everything seemed to have an additional dimension. Each blade of grass was a multi faceted jewel. It was an incredible experience.

At the end of our time together, the snake suggested it was important for humans to try to see the world through the eyes of each individual animal. That we can’t make assumptions based on how we live, that we must strive to understand how they live together in harmony and that we must be the ones to learn from them. He told me that they had been ‘waiting’ for me and that now I was to go and spread the word…and I’m hopeful that is why you are reading this, so I can fulfill the task they have assigned me.
