Windows 95 / 98 - Dial Up Networking Set Up
  1. Go to MY COMPUTER, DIAL-UP NETWORKING, and MAKE NEW CONNECTION.
  2. Type a name for the computer you are dialing (ie. Incentre), and click NEXT.
  3. Enter the area code (ie. 780), enter the telephone number (ie. 421-4222 or your local ISP number), and select the country code (ie. Canada (1)). Click NEXT.
  4. Click FINISH.
  5. From the Dial-Up Networking window, right-click on the icon (ie. Incentre), and select CREATE SHORTCUT. Windows will create the short-cut on your desktop, so simply click YES.
Configure the Default Internet Connection
  1. Go to START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, and INTERNET OPTIONS.
  2. Under the "Connections" tab, highlight "Incentre" and click "Set default" if not already indicated.
  3. Select "Always dial my default connection". Click APPLY, and OK.
  4. Close the Control Panel.
Outlook Express Email Setup (Windows PC): To Add A New Email Account:
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express.
  2. Select TOOLS, ACCOUNTS, and the tab MAIL. Click ADD and select Mail.
  3. Enter a Display name (ie. John Doe). Click NEXT.
  4. Select "I already have an e-mail address…". Enter your e-mail address (ie. johndoe@incentre.net). Click NEXT.
  5. Select "My incoming mail server is a: POP".
    • Enter incoming mail server: pop.incentre.net
    • Enter outgoing mail server: smtp.incentre.net
    • Click NEXT.
  6. Enter the following information:
    • Account ID: [username]
    • Password: [password]
    • Optional: save password.
    • Click NEXT.
    • Click FINISH.
  7. Optional: To configure the news server, go into TOOLS, ACCOUNTS, and the NEWS tab. Click ADD and select "News". Enter your Display name, email address, and the news server "news.incentre.net", and then click FINISH.
