Creating New Email Account
Note: If this is the first time using Microsoft Outlook 2000, then start at #3, otherwise start at #1.
  1. In Microsoft Outlook 2000, go to TOOLS, ACCOUNTS.
  2. Under the MAIL tab, click ADD, and choose MAIL.
  3. The "Internet Connection Wizard" window will appear.
  4. Enter "Display Name" (ie. Tony Tiger) and click NEXT.
  5. Enter "E-mail Address" (ie. ttiger@incentre.net) and click NEXT.
  6. For the following fields, enter the following:
    • My incoming mail server is a: POP3
    • Incoming Mail Server: pop.incentre.net
    • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.incentre.net
    • Click NEXT.
  7. Enter the following:
    • Account Name: (ie. ttiger)
    • Password: (ie. Pass1234)
    • Optional: select "Remember password"
    • Click NEXT.
  8. Select the method of connection:
    • For Dial-up, choose "I will establish my Internet connection manually".
    • For Local Area Network, choose "LAN".
  9. Click FINISH.

Editing An Existing Email Account
  1. In Microsoft Outlook 2000, go to TOOLS, ACCOUNTS.
  2. Under the MAIL tab, double-click the mail account you wish to edit (or highlight the mail account and click PROPERTIES).
  3. Under the GENERAL tab, enter the following,
    • Mail Account name: (ie. Tony Tiger's Email)
    • Name: - to which you want others to identify you as (ie. Tony Tiger)
    • Optional: Organization - such as a company name (ie. Tony Tiger Corporation)
    • Email address: (ie. ttiger@incentre.net)
    • Reply address - only if different from above email address.
  4. Under the SERVERS tab, enter the following:
    • My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
    • Incoming mail server: pop.incentre.net
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.incentre.net
    • Account name: (ie. ttiger)
    • Password: (ie. Pass1234)
    • Optional: select "Remember password"
  5. Click APPLY, OK, and CLOSE.
