On Thursday, July 11, 2002 in the afternoon hours between 13:30 to 14:00, a Telus edge concentrator in the Edmonton Toll central office experienced a software failure. This software failure would have resulted in a complete loss of connectivity for most customers with IP/data services traversing this device. Telus technicians have fixed the problem and are continuing to monitor the device to ensure no further problems arise.
