An Internet outage during the early morning hours of 10:30 am on Monday, January 7, 2002
has been attributed to a Telus OC3 fibre outage in the Edmonton area. Telus technicians were able to track the source of the problem, and has since replaced the faulty network equipment. Full network connectivity resumed just after 12:00 pm. The Telus OC3 fibre trunk located in south Edmonton, provides Internet backbone connectivity for many networks including The Internet Centre. We apologize for the inconvenience this Telus equipment outage has created for many of our clients throughout Alberta. |
