A major cable line that provides Internet services in the Fort McMurray area suffered
severe damage today.

The line which is serviced and maintained by Telus is currently under repair. Internet
services in the Fort McMurray area will be down for the duration of the repair. Clients
are advised to log into other affiliates in Alberta should they require immediate access.
Note however that long distance charges may apply when dialing outside your local
calling areas.

Telus apologizes in advance for the inconvenience this network downage may
