A major network upgrade and move is being planned for Thursday, December 13, 2001 at
approximately 10:00 am in the morning and lasting for approximately 1 hour in length.
Customers will experience various outages and inaccessibilities to servers, company
networks, mail servers, and websites during this time. High Speed DSL customers should expect an outage lasting for approximately 10 minutes as the new routes take affect. Edmonton dial-up customers should expect an outage of approximate 45 minutes as new telephone lines take affect and the equipment is moved. Mail server outages will affect customers throughout Alberta lasting approximately 1 hour in length. During this time, customers will not be able to send nor receive emails. Please note that emails coming from outside the network will not be affected, and you will be able to receive your emails once the change is completed. Because of various circumstances, the network upgrade and move must take place during the morning rather than after-hours. This is in part due to network changes, dedicated line changes, Telus phone line alterations, and availability of resources. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience this outage will cause, and hope to have the network in place within an 1 hour time frame. |
