Nov 1, 2000 - AT&T Network Outage Affects Calgary Customers

A network problem at AT&T took down the entire network of The Internet Centre in Calgary on Wednesday, causing a lengthy outage lasting several hours in the afternoon.

Backup routing with AT&T's network caused traffic to be delivered to us via a different path. Unfortunately, we had never been told about this alternate path, so our equipment was not able to handle the new traffic.

AT&T eventually found the problem and provided us with the information we needed and our Calgary Internet service was completely restored at about 5:30pm.

We apologize for the inconvenience the outage has created for our customers in Calgary. Please call The Internet Centre at Ph.(780) 450-6787 for more information.
