Publishing with Frontpage 2000

  1. Open Microsoft Frontpage 2000.
  2. To open an existing file, go to FILE, and click OPEN




  3. The "Open File" window should pop up. Open the file you want to publish. In this case, the file we are going to publish is "index.html".




  4. Your webpage will open up. then go to FILE and scroll down to "Publish Web".




  5. You will see a "Publish Web" pop up sceen. Where it says "Specify the location to publish your web to", you need to put your domain name without the "www". If your domain name is mydomain.com, then you would need to put "http://mydomain.com". After you put in your domain name, click on the "Publish" button on the bottom right.




  6. A username and password pop up screen will appear. Enter your username and password.




  7. It will take a few seconds to several minutes to publish your website, depending on how large your file/website is.




  8. Once FrontPage finishes publishing, you will get a "Web site published successfully" message.




  9. Now test your website in a web browser.
