1/20/2010 - Another threat has recently emerged, this time asking for the username and password of an email address. Remember: The Internet Centre will NEVER send out an arbitrary email request for private information like your password, credit, or banking information. Here's an example of the most recent sort of scam email: From: "Web-mail Administrator" <infomations @service.com>
Date: January 19, 2010 08:54:17 MST (CA) To: information @access.org Reply-To: helpdestserviceaccount @w.cn Dear Email user, This message is from Administration center Maintenance Policy verified that your mailbox exceeds its limit, you will be unable to receive new email, To re-set your SPACE on our database prior to maintain your IN-BOX, you must fill out the required information below. Name: Username/Id: Password: Retype Password: Email Address: Thank you for your cooperation. Web-mail Administrator |
